RACE RULES

4 1/2 Inch Class

Will race on Sunday evenings 7 pm beginning May 18

DIRT LATE MODELS 4 1/2"
  (same rules, different body)
NASTRUCK SPECS  4 1/2"
VINTAGE LATE MODEL NASCAR  4 1/2
"

CHASSIS
1.  Must be commercially available, stamped and formed chassis with a 4 1/2" wheelbase and be approved for competition.
2.  If using extenders, must use original manufacturer's extenders on the chassis they were designed for. May solder extender to chassis. May remove front wings for extender/front wheel clearance only.
3.  May interchange parts from a single manufacturer: such as Flexi and Flexi 2 parts, JK long or short center sections and heavy or light pans on JK chassis.
4.  Chassis may have a maximum of three (3) chassis parts consisting of one solid center and maximum of (2) sparate pans. No additional pans or two piece center sectiions allowed.
5.  No modifications except for the following:
        - May solder or glue motor, axle oilites and front wheel retainers.
        - May add lead weight and tape to chassis.
        - May file holes in motor bracket to allow better gear mesh, but must retain a portion of motor bracket
.
6.  No oilite modifications. May use offset oilites.
7.  May add spacers between pans and center section.
8.  May add a 1 inch Long motor brace.
9.  The original manufacturer's plating may be removed only in areas to be soldered.
10. No other modifications, soldering, cutting, grinding or bracing allowed.
11. May use any guide, nut, spacers, lead wires and clips.
12. May perform reasonable filing of rear oilite chassis holes to allow for axle alignment.
13. Car that starts the race is the one that will finish. No replacements.

 MOTORS
1.  Motor must be a sealed Parma 501 "Death Star" motor.
2.  No comm. drops allowed.
3.  No motor claim.
4.  Must maintain .063 clearance.

BODIES
1.  Trucks and dirt late models--production 4 1/2 in W/B body, any year to present.
2.  Vintage NASCAR body-'72 and older-maximum 1 3/4 tail height. Slam it as low as you want. All other rules still apply.
3.  Maximum rear spoiler height 1 5/8 inch.

GEARS
1.   Any gear ratio allowed. May use only 48 pitch gears. May solder pinion onto armature shaft.

AXLES & TIRES
1.   Minimum front and rear axle diameter is 1/8 inch. Steel axles only. No hollow or other lightweight axles.
      Drill blank axles are allowed.
2.   Tires front and rear must be composed of black foam rubber. No dyed tires allowed. May add nail polish to
      front tires.
3.   Front tires minimum diameter is 0.675 in. Minimum front tires width is 0.400 inch. Minimum rear tire diameter
      is 0.790 inch. Maximum rear tire width is 0.820 inch.
4.   3 1/4 inches in overall max. tread width.
5.   Solid one piece front axles only, no stubbies. Axle must pass through both front uprights. Front axles may
      be soldered to uprights, but front wheel must rotate. Axle hole in front uprights may be enlarged to allow
      0.675 inch. Front tires to touch the track but 4 1/2 in wheelbase must be maintained.
6.   A motor brace is allowed. There must be 0.060 in clearance to track surface under screw end.
7.   Independent rotating front tires are allowed.
8.   Lighter fluid cleaning of tires between heats allowed.
9.   Anyone glueing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.

RACE DIRECTOR
1.   All cars impounded after tech.
2.   On deck sit out will have 1 1/2 min. to set on track and get ready.
3.   Next sit out will place marker in inside wall and return car to tech box.
4.   Car that starts race is same one that will finish, no switching cars.
5.   Sit outs will marshall--no exceptions.
6.   Bring a small box or kit. No cars go to pit area unless broken during race.
7.   Anyone gluing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.







  GT1

Will race on Thursday evenings 7pm beginning May 15

An entry level class intended for "out of the box" cars using the sealed 501 "Death Star" motor.

BODY 
1.   Commercially available 4" Lexan bodies of a "low downforce" type.
2.   Body must be painted with clear windows where applicable.
3.   Maximum rear height of 1 5/8".
4.   Juniors may use "Wedge" or "Ultimate" style high downforce bodies until having scored 3 wins.

CHASSIS 
1.   Must be a commercially available approved chassis.
2.   Must be stamped and formed metal. The portions to which the motor is attached must be steel.
3.   May interchange parts from a single manufacturer, such as Flexi and Flexi 2 parts, JK long or short   center sections and heavy or light pans on JK chassis.
4.   Chassis may have a maximum of three (3) chassis parts consisting of one solid center section and maximum of two separate pans. No additional pans or two piece center sections allowed.
 5.  No modifications except for the following:
        a. May solder or glue motor, axle oilites and front wheel retainers.
        b. May add lead weight and tape to chassis.
        c. May file holes in motor bracket to allow better gear mesh, but must retain a portion of motor bracket.
        d. No oilite modifications allowed. MMay use offset oilites.
        e. May add a one inch (25.4 mm) long motor brace and an upright brace.
        f. The original manufacturer's plating may be removed only in areas to be soldered.
        g. May add pin tubes. Pin tubes may be either solid or floating. May add lead wire retainer.
        h. May solder on steel guide tongue reinforcement such as Slick 7 but the original  tongue may not be removed, modified, or moved.
        i. No other modifications, soldering, cutting, grinding or bracing allowed.
        j. May use any guide, nut, spacers, lead wire and clips.
        k. May perform reasonable filing or rear oilite chassis holes to allow for axle alignment.
        l.  Car that start race will be the one to finish. No switching cars.
     
MOTOR AND GEARS 
1.   Motor must be a sealed Parma 501 "Death Star" motor.
2.   Motor of any driver is subject to claim. Anyone may claim any motor. Only allowed 1 claim every 5 races.
3.   If motor brace is used there must be a minimum of .060th clearance under screw end to track surface.
4.   Any gear ratio is allowed, 48 pitch gears.

RACE DIRECTOR
1
.   Cars impounded after tech.
2.   Sit out will have 1 1/2 min. to set car on track and get ready.
3.   When exiting the white lane mark lane and return car to impound box.
4.   Sit outs will marshall, no exceptions.
5.    Anyone gluing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.


COUPE AND GO CART CLASS

Will race on Thurday evenings at 7pm beginning on May 15.
Each runs 4 weeks in a row, then alternate for 4 weeks.

Chassis
1.   Stamped steel flexi type 4 in chassis.
2.   Standard .063 rear clearance.
3.   Lead allowed.

Body
1.   Champion 34 Ford or 36 Chevy bodies.
2.   JK go cart bodies.
3.   No add on wings.

Motor
1.   Falcon 7 motor.
2.   No motor claim rule.

Gears
1.   9-28 gear ratio--48 pitch--1/8 axle.

Tires
1.  .620 outside diameter on front wheels.
2.  Minimum of .375 (3/8 in.) wide on fronts.UNABLE TO GET THIS SIZE TIRE. cHANGE IN RULES TO .250 (1/4 IN.) THESE ARE PRO TRACK # 166 
3.  3 1/2 in. width rule front and rear.

Race Director
1.   Cars impounded after tech.
2.   No comm drops.
3.   Anyone gluing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.
4.   Sit outs will marshall- no exceptions.



OPEN FLEXI CLASS

Will race Sunday evenings at 7pm on MTT (gray) track beginning May 18

Chassis
1.  3 piece flexi type chassis.
2.  .030 rear frame clearance.
3.  Any rear axle 1/8 or 3/32 inch.
4.  Bracing allowed.
5.  Lead allowed.
6.  Guide hole must remain in factory location.

Bodies
1.  Bodies will be USRA, ISRA, or TRRS legal. Specific legal bodies:1044B Mercedes GT1; 1016B Zonda;1083B MG GT1;1048B GT1 prototype;1019B Mercedes CLK GT1; 1015B Taurus. All Parma.                                
 
Motor
1.  501 deathstar, Falcon 7, and puppy dog are all legal.
2.  No motor claim rule.

Gears
1.  Any gear ratio. 48 pitch-1/8 axle, 64 pitch- 3/32 axle.

Race Director
1.  No cars will be allowed at pit box during race unless being repaired. Bring a small box to service car at track.
2.  No comm drops.
3.  Sit outs will return cars to impound box.
4.  Anyone gluing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.
5.  Sit outs will marshall-no exceptions.
