DIRT LATE MODELS 4 1/2 "

NO COT BODIES
Chassis
1. Must be commercially available, stamped and formed chassis with a 4 1/2 inch wheelbase and be approved for competition.
2. May interchange parts from a single manufacturer i.e. Flexi and Flexi 2 parts., Jk long or short center sections and heavy or light pans on JK.
3. Chassis may have a maximum of three (3) chassis parts consisting of one solid center and maximum of two (2) separate pans. No additional pans or two (2) piece center sections allowed.
4. No modifications except for the following;
May solder motor, axle oilites and front wheel retainers.
May add lead weight and tape to chassis.
May file holes in motor bracket to allow better gear mesh, but must retain a portion of motor bracket.
5. No oilites modifications. May use offset oilites.
6. May add spacers between pans and center sections.
7. May add one (1) inch long motor brace.
8. The original manufacturer's plating may be removed only in areas to be soldered.
9. No other modifications, soldering, cutting. grinding or bracing allowed.
10. May use any guide, nut, spacers, lead wires and clips.
11. May perform reasonable filingor rear oilite chassis holes to allow for axle alignment.
Motor
1. Motor must be a sealed Parma 501 "Death Star motor.
2. No comm. drops allowed.
3. No motor claim.
4. Must maintain .063 clearance.
5 . Soldering of end bell bushings is not allowed.
6. Motors will be checked.
Bodies
1. Trucks and dirt late models-production 4 1/2 in W/B body, any year.
2. Bodies cut on stock line, no low riders.
3. Maximum rear spoiler height 1 5/8 inch.
Gears
1. 9/29 ratio, 48 pitch gears. May solder pinion onto armature shaft.
Axles & Tires
1. Minimum front and rear axlle diameter is 1/8 inch. Steel axles only. No hollow or other lightweight axles. Drill blank
axles are allowed.
2. Tires front and rear must be composed of black foam rubber. No dyed tires allowed. May add nail polish to front tires.
3. Front tires maximum diameter is 0.675 in. Minimum front tire width is 0.400 inch. Minimum rear tire diameter is is 0.790 in. Maximum rear tire diameter is 0.820 in.
4. 3 1/4 inch is overall max. tread width.
5.Solid one (1) piece front axle only, no stubbies. Axle must pass through both front uprights.
6. Independent rotating front tires are allowed.
7. Lighter fluid cleaning of tires between heats is allowed.
Race Director
1. All cars impounded after tech.
2. Next sit out will place marker in inside wall and return car to tech box.
3. Car that starts race is the same one that will finish, no switching cars.
4. Sit outs will marshall- no exceptions.
5 Bring small box or kit. No cars go to pit area unless broken during race.
6. Anyone gluing tires will be disqualified and banned for 2 races.
7. If your car breaks during race the race will continue without you.
JUNIOR CLASS
$7.00 per race.
Feb. 27 1pm
5 thru 11 yrs old.
BODY
1. Body must be painted with clear windows where applicable.
2. Maximum rear height of 1 5/8 ".
3. Junior may use "Wedge" or "Ultimate" style high downforce bodies until having scored 3 wins. After 3 wins must run a low downforce body.
CHASSIS
1. Must be commercially available approved chassis.
2. May interchange parts from a single manufactureer, such as Flexi and Flexi 2 parts, or JK long and short center sections and heavy and light pans on a JK chassis.
3. No modifications except for the following:
a. May solder or glue motor, axle oilites and front wheel retainers.
b. May add lead weight and tape to the chassis.
c. May add a one inch (25.4 mm) long motor brace and an upright brace.
d. The original manufacturer's plating may be removed only in areas to be soldered.
e. May add pin tubes. Pin tubes may either be solid or floating.
f. May add lead wire retainer.
g. May solder on steel guide tongue reinforcement such as Slick 7 but the original tongue can not be modified or moved.
h. No other modifications, soldering, cutting, grinding, or bracing allowed.
i. May use any guide, nut, spacers, lead wire and clips
j. May perforn reasonable filing of rear oilite chassis holes to allow for axle alignment.
k. Car that starts the race will be the one to finish. No switching cars.
MOTORS AND GEARS
1. Motor must be a sealed Parma 501 Death Star motor.
2. Soldered end bell bushings are not allowed.
3. Motors will be checked .

2. Motor of any driver is subject to claim. Anyone may claim nay motor. Only 1 claim every 5 races.
3. If motor brace is used there must be a minimum of 0.60th clearance under screw end to track surface.
4. Any gear ratio is allowed. 48 pitch gears.
5. Soldering arm bushings on motor can is not allowed.
6. Motors will be checked.

2 HOUR ENDURO
$30 per team
1. All GT1 rules apply except for the following: 9:29 gear ratio.
2. Hand out 501 motor included in race fee, you keep the motor.
3. 2 people per team, total of 8 teams.
4. Eight heats each lasting 15 minutes.
Schedule
Doors open at noon.
12:00-12:15 sign in.
12:15-12:45 motor hand out and installation.
12:45 cars teched.
01:00 race starts.
Race Director
1. No comm drops.
2. No glue on tires or track.
